Road Roller Theft

BBC News, Road-roller thefts prompt appeal.

Police in Surrey have appealed for help to trace two road-rollers stolen in the west of the county in the last month.

The latest theft happened overnight on 19 March in a car-park on Hunts Hill Road in Normandy Common near Guildford.

The heavy plant machinery, an orange HAMM HD90 worth £40,000, was moved to the A323 where it is believed to have been loaded onto a low-loader vehicle.

Another roller of the same make and model was stolen from the A319 Bagshot Road in Chobham a month ago.

Pc Stephen Cake, of Surrey Police, appealed for help from anyone who saw the “very distinctive” vehicle being driven or put on a low-loader lorry that night.
